Byron Bay Jazz Club Presents: The View From Madeleine's Couch
Byron Bay Jazz and World Music Club Proudly Presents:
The View From Madeleine's Couch
Sat 26th May - Doors 7pm for an 8pm show (drinks and meals available at the venue). Bangalow Bowlo Hall.
Celebrating 20 years as one of Australia's most acclaimed and respected Brazilian music ensembles, Madcouch brings their beautiful music south of the border to continue the birthday party! The band's mix of beautiful original songs, inspired by the rhythms and harmonies of Brazil, blend perfectly with the eclectic repertoire of bossa nova, samba and Brazilian jazz that the band has performed at major festivals and venues across Australia and Brazil for two decades.
“They've got the Brazilian spirit, and they're really doing this very well” -Mazinho Ventura (bassist for Marcos Valle, Joao Donato)
“I stand with my jaw dropped and eat up layers: the irresistible groove on the bottom; the gorgeous vibes centre and Anje's glorious voice soaring atop it all....the sound that hits your ears is just filled to the brim with beauty” -Greg Gottlieb
“It is what sunsets should sound like...indeed, the show is a sensational celebration” -Meredith Walker, (review, Anywhere Festival)
